The Face - Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha

There is a new TV show in the works according to Coco Rocha's social media outlets.
Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco herself are set to mentor 12 young models as they compete to be "The Face" of a major brand.
These 3 are all women whom I admire and whose careers I have followed closely, Naomi who is now 42 has been modelling since she was 15, was one of the first women to coin the term "supermodel".
I always admired Karolina's intense work ethic, her ambition and drive to succeed drove her to the top, that and being a Victoria's Secret Angel since 2oo5 as well as juggling a career and family all at once.
Coco's resilience and strong moral background are to be applauded having never shot any swimwear or lingerie, a very difficult thing to not give into in this tough and very competitive industry.
I can say I definitely look forward to watching, and taking note of any wisdom they have to impart.

New York City Management

I'm so excited to announce my switch to NYC's newest agency, MIX MODEL MANAGEMENT.
Recently founded by Neal Hamil (CEO of Ford models) and Wayne Sterling (co-founder of Models.com fame).

Things are getting crazy in the warm up to NY fashion week in September, thankfully I will be in the right hands!

JEANLOUP SIEFF

So I was wandering around Strand bookstore (Union Square), more specifically the photography section, and I picked up this book that looked familiar, Jeanloup Sieff's "Torses Nus".
I vaguely remember as a kid my mother having one of these lying around the house. He had given her a signed copy because she worked with him often. I excitedly flipped through and found her portrait.
Cool, huh?? It was strange finding this picture of my mother so far from home, and her doing years ago what I had travelled all the way to New York City to do.
There was more of his work floating around the photography section, here is a couple.

I recognise her legs instantly hahaha! Not only because of their shape but also because she had the original tears (among many others) hanging up in the house I grew up in. I'm sure they would be worth something now days, but I know she would never part with them. He was an amazing photographer that evidently worshipped the female form, and his work is a major contribution to fashion history.
This was awesome and made my whole day!

Screen Test

Here is a short video, it's a screen test for a European commercial shot and directed by the amazing Alexander Wraith www.imdb.com/.
The shots are very pretty and I like the music too. It was shot at The Cloisters, a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. An art museum dedicated to medieval Europe, the gardens and architecture were especially beautiful.

Agent Provocateur in Spring

Here is a couple snaps from a recent editorial, very pretty spring time concept. I wish it had been a little more sunny though, the lighting would have made it even better. It wouldn't have been so cold out too..
I loved the makeup, it wasn't too crazy and very natural but sexy.

Chanel Spring/Summer 2012

How lovely. The Chanel show sets are always so wonderful as fantasy unrestricted by reality. As for the clothes, Karl knows what he's doing. His modernist approach to fashion and the female form is always refreshing and inspiring. I also happen to share a birthday with him

Sunken ship. TITANIC inspired shoot

Ok I just got back from shooting with an amazing crew on a half-sunken abandoned ship.. CrAzy
It was filthy and had broken glass everywhere but the photographer was great, it was cool because half of the rooms where lopsided and falling apart. Like something out of a dream, he really utilized the location. It was really unique and interesting, even tho I think I need like 4 consecutive showers now. Anyway, heres a lil unedited preview....
